The pretty, detached, single story, barn conversion has been sympathetically converted and retains many original features with natural stone walls, exposed beamed ceilings and high quality furnishings. Nestled within glorious countryside in the delightful hamlet of Quoditch near Ashwater in Devon, this delightful cottage is the ideal choice to unwind and recharge your batteries. All on one level, the light and airy open plan living area has a well-equipped kitchen and sofas surrounding a cosy wood burner. Outside, there is an enclosed patio area, complete with garden seating to enjoy a lazy breakfast while you plan your day. Ashwater has a really good pub and for those wishing to explore, Meadowside Forge could not be more centrally located for visiting the Eden Project one day and Bude or Widemouth Bay the next.
Just 17 miles from the breathtaking North Cornish coast and many dog friendly beaches, with excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walks along with shopping, leisure facilities, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Holsworthy, 8 miles, has a good selection of local shops and supermarkets along with a weekly market. The market town of Okehampton and Launceston with its historic castle are a short drive away. Coastal and country walking, golf, surfing, fishing, horse riding and cycling are all on offer close by and Dartmoor National Park is a must for nature lovers. The property is close to the water sports centre at Roadford Lake, where sailing dinghies, kayaks and wind-surfers can be hired. Beach 17 miles. Shop 8 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
