The nearby local Museum displays artefacts related to the town’s literary connections and provides a crash course in local history, its geology, and of course Mary Anning’s story.

Lyme Regis itself is a truly fantastic place. Situated on the magnificent UNESCO Jurassic Coast, it's known as the pearl of Dorset and upon visiting, it's easy to see why. A famous spot for fossil hunters worldwide, it also sits on the South West Coast Path and offers a whole host of wonderful hikes and walks nearby. The south-facing beaches are safe for both children and water sport enthusiasts, with great fishing and leisure boat opportunities available from the Cobb harbour. It has a fantastic food and music scene and there are also vast amounts of festivals and events happening in the town throughout the year.
