In a wonderful picturesque location, in beautiful west Dorset, just north of Chideock, 3 miles from the stunning World Heritage Jurassic Coast and 4 miles from Bridport, you will find these three properties. North End Farmhouse (ref W44194), is a large 14th-century thatched farmhouse offering delightful holiday accommodation. It enjoys a large living room, formerly the great hall, with a huge stone mantled Tudor fireplace with oak fire and there is a hidden stone staircase and a snug with a wood burner in an inglenook fireplace. The Old Cricket Pavillion (ref UKC496), formerly located at the Symondsbury Cricket Ground, offers a romantic retreat for two and enjoys panoramic views over the countryside. Guests can enjoy superb country walking from the doorstep, or 3 miles away on the Jurassic Coast with its lovely scenery. Delve into some fossil hunting, swimming or fishing. The Old Dairy (ref UKC1644), is a large self-contained wing of the main house, and also offers a romantic retreat for 2, with a spacious open plan living space, and again with wonderful walking. All the properties are set in an idyllic location, reached by a no-through road and within a scenic area, families can enjoy a haven away from it all, but be near to many attractions.
Slightly further afield is the characterful fishing port of West Bay, scene of the TV series ’Broadchurch’, where you can go boating or sea fishing. Bridport, formerly a rope making town, with its restaurants, shops and markets is worth exploring, or the jewel in the crown of west Dorset is Lyme Regis, with its famous cob, harbour, sandy beach and quaint shops. Visitors can spend days exploring this coastline from Sidmouth, Seaton and Lyme Regis on to Portland and Weymouth, or inland visiting many attractions in Dorchester. There are historic houses to enjoy such as Forde Abbey and Gardens, and within easy driving is Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum. Slightly further afield is Glastonbury Tor and maybe even Wells cathedral city and Cheddar Gorge. Beach 2½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 19 guests.
