Everything you need is on your doorstep, just below Cove View, there is a delightful walk along the water’s edge through Nothe Gardens to Nothe Fort with impressive panoramic sea views across Weymouth bay and to Portland. A 2-minute walk takes you to Brewers Quay which has a treasure trove of interesting shops. Weymouth Museum, Discovery Centre and the harbour’s edge, where there is a diverse range of restaurants and pubs are also close by. The closest beach is Newton’s Cove, a small shingle beach, approximately a 2-minutes walk from the apartment. Of course you also have the family friendly sandy expanse that is Weymouth beach which along with the town centre, can be reached within a 10-minute walk. The harbour is the departure point for a range of boat trips including Jurassic coast tours, fishing trips and speedboat rides (seasonal). Then cross over the bridge and you are in the centre of town.
The apartment is situated a 5-minute walk into Weymouth town centre where narrow streets criss-cross the pedestrianised shopping centre leading to the seafront and promenade. Here there is an interesting mix of high street names, art galleries, coffee shops and gift shops. There is also a multiplex cinema, ten-pin bowling alley and theatre in the town centre.
