Set in a quiet and secluded spot just off the Avenue in Branksome Park, Chine Wanderer boasts a favourable position away from the hustle and bustle but within a short distance to many of our delightful attractions of the area.
The house is also situated on a scenic pathway which includes three chines, Branksome, Branksome Dene, and Alum Chine which are wooded gorges that lead down to the beach and are a feature of this part of the coastline. Taking the quiet walk along Branksome Chine will lead you to the beach in around 20 minutes and the pathway continues along to take in the seashore to Branksome Dene and back inland along Alum Chine enjoying the beautiful tree lined paths.
Our local beaches are Blue Flag status and span for eight miles, stretching from Hengisbury Head to the tip of Sandbanks peninsula. With a wonderful promenade, which is also ideal for cycling along, and enjoying the wonderful views over to Bournemouth Pier, the Isle of Wight, and the Purbeck Peninsula.
Also, just a ten minute walk away from the house, is the food lovers Westbourne district with its ornate Victorian arcade and unique mix of cafes, bistros, and restaurants. Here you will also find boutiques, art galleries, and independent shops.
A little further afield, there are many local places to visit during your stay. The prestigious village of Canford Cliffs, with gastropubs, coffee shop and deli, and the popular seaside towns of Bournemouth and Poole are easily accessible by car, bus, or bike and the magnificent Jurassic coast is a short car ride away on the Isle of Purbeck. Activities in the area include watersports in Poole Harbour, golf, and cycling.
