Set in the heart of the scenic New Forest, The Cabin is the perfect choice for a tranquil stay within nature, providing a secluded base for exploring the surrounding area.
Immersed in woodland and poised on the edge of common land (superb for dusk and dawn bird spotting), this rural, stress-free retreat offers absolute peace and quiet, while allowing for easy access to local pubs and hundreds of New Forest walking and cycling trails. Brilliant for nature lovers and those yearning to get away from the hustle and bustle, its prime location offers a glimpse into authentic country living; an oasis to get back in touch with nature and zone out of city life.
The Cabin
Accessed via a private drive, this brand new 3-bedroom Scandi-style cabin sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably with 4 single beds and a king-sized master suite. All rooms provide plush Egyptian cotton bedding and have fabulous forest views with two bedrooms offering direct access to the substantial sundeck. There are also two bathrooms (1 en-suite to the master).
Offering open-plan living with breath taking views, The Cabin has been lovingly furnished throughout with luxurious sofas as well as all your modern requirements such as 50-inch smart TV, for those wet days, and super-fast Wi-Fi. The wonderfully finished open-plan kitchen will suit all your cooking needs and offers a stress-free stay with a dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge/freezer. The spacious living and dining area has 2 sets of double doors opening onto the huge relaxing sun deck with uninterrupted views across the woodlands and down to Old Harry Rock. A perfect place to watch the sun setting with a glass of something cold after a long day’s exploring.
The entrance nook gives you a place to leave those muddy boots, wet coats and wipe off muddy paws. Dogs are allowed throughout the cabin – we provide throws and blankets for the furniture.
Outside the 12 acres of woodland and gardens provide a fantastic playground for adventurous children, dogs, and adults alike. A fire pit sits within The Cabin’s grounds, offering a way to keep warm during those late evening BBQs. Outside dining facilities are provided on the sundeck and there is a shed to keep your bikes as well as charging for e-bikes.
The location
Dog and child friendly, The Cabin is situated within the New Forest national park with its fabulous walks and stunning beaches. The quiet and tranquil location provides a luxurious retreat after a long day exploring the sights of the area, from the Witchcraft village of Burley to the cliff-top castle at Highcliffe.
Sitting within the woodland and surrounded by the forest and common land The Cabin provides a rural retreat in which to see the wild horses, pigs, birds, and deer that the New Forest is famous for.
Both Burley and Bransgore villages are within a 10-minute drive and have an abundance of traditional shops and local pubs serving food. The beaches of Highcliffe and Mudeford are also within a 10–15-minute drive and are open to dogs all year round. (Access is restricted to certain areas between May through to September, please check the signs)
For the more adventurous, full-day walking tours of the New Forest are just out the gate. Paddleboarding, kitesurfing, sailing and other water sports can be found a little further away at Christchurch, Lymington and Poole.
Of course, you can just stay put and relax and snuggle up on the sofa. We recommend lighting the fire pit outside on a clear night, grabbing some blankets, and raising a glass to the stars.
Getting here
Halfway between the villages of Burley and Bransgore, The Cabin is within half an hour of Bournemouth and Southampton. You will need a car to get around, parking and electric car charging is just outside. Unlike other retreats The Cabin has no neighbours other than the family home – this is the perfect stress-free relaxing getaway.
Located in Christchurch, this cabin is in a rural area. The area's natural beauty can be seen at New Forest National Park and Moors Valley Country Park, while Sammy Miller Museum and Regent Centre are cultural highlights. Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre and New Forest Cider are also worth visiting.
