Delightful terraced cottage laying at the heart of the quaint estuary village of St Dogmaels. Pubs, shops and cafe, set along the pretty river, are a short walk from your door. St Dogmaels has a working water mill, Y Felin, and a 12th century Abbey for you to explore. There is an award winning farmers market held in the village every Tuesday. Under two miles is the Blue Flag sandy beach at Poppit Sands with access to the coastal path, alternatively join the path in St Dogmaels itself which is the start/finish of the 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Cardigan, with its feature castle and eclectic mix of establishments, is a 20 minute walk or short drive by car or bus. Coastal lovers will marvel at seaside villages in either direction, providing boat trips and plenty of wildlife watching too. Close to the Preseli Mountains, a must for walkers, with many attractions nearby such as Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort, Cardigan Island Farm Park and the Welsh wildlife Centre at nearby Cilgerran. Enter into the welcoming cottage via hallway which has a doorway to the generous, contemporary lounge with ample seating, TV and DVD. Further along to the open plan kitchen/diner. This well equipped space has an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. There is access to outside space from this room. Up a flight of stairs to the first floor, there is a pretty master king size bedroom with a glimpse of the Teifi River, a bunk bedroom and the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Up the narrow cottage stairs to the second floor there is a sweet twin bedroom (with restricted headheight) and lovely views of the abbey, mill and river. Outside there is a charming enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. A lovely area to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring or to leave canoes and bicycles, with easy access via the rear entrance. Tynwald also makes a great base for cyclists of all ages. There are traffic free trails along old railway lines from Cardigan to Cilgerran, and Aberaeron to Llanerchaeron. Poppit Sands is approximately 10 minutes by bike, and Newport, for the more energetic, is 12 miles away via the coastal route. Street parking is available 20 yards away, although you can unload the car outside the property. Additional car park 100 yards with residents permit provided.
