Bluebell Cottage is set on the owners’ smallholding, down a private lane within the lush rolling Pembrokeshire countryside and less than 3 miles, as the crow flies, to the dramatic and sublime North Pembrokeshire coastline. Penfeidr Farm was once a busy dairy farm and has been lovingly restored. Located just outside the rural hamlet of Glanrhyd and between the coastal village of Newport and the market town of Cardigan which boasts shops, restaurants, art galleries and boutique shopping and both only being a 10-minute drive away. A plethora of beaches like Poppit Sands, Newport Sands and Mwnt to name a few which are ideal for walking, fishing or kayaking.
Bluebell Cottage is one of three attached traditional slate built cottages set within the owners’ grounds and was once a cow shed and part of the working farm. Enjoy relaxing on those balmy summer days with a glass of wine and a barbecue in the southfacing garden with views of the stunning Preseli Hills in the distance.
On the ground floor you can enjoy open plan living, as well as a sun room with mountain views. The galley style kitchen has been finished to an excellent standard, perfect for cooking that special meal, and the bedroom has air conditioning for your added comfort.
The coastal path runs through Moylegrove which is around 5 minutes’ drive. Here you can join the 186 miles of Pembrokeshire National Park coastal footpath, where you can take in this truly beautiful coastline. The Welsh Wildlife Centre and Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve run by the Wildlife Trust is really not to be missed with one of the best wetland sites in Wales. The famous walled town of Tenby is around 50 minutes away, where you can enjoy fish and chips on the harbour wall or take a boat trip to Caldey Island. Beach 6 miles. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant 3½ miles.
