This lovely, weather boarded house is set in a beautiful, quiet cobbled street in the heart of medieval Rye The cottage has been awarded 4 stars from visit Britain and a Gold Award. Opposite the church and in the heart of the Citadel, the holiday cottage is heavily beamed throughout with a bread oven in the laundry room. An ideal base for exploring the cobbled streets of Rye. We feature as the estate agent 'Woolgar and Pipstow' in the BBC comedy drama set in Rye and shown December 2014 on BBC 1 starring Anna Chancellor, Steve Pemberton, Miranda Richardson and Mark Gatiss.
Visit the traditional market on Thursday and Farmers’ Market on Wednesday. Swim at Camber Sands (5 minute drive away) or Winchelsea Beach, stroll across the marshes and visit the ruins of Camber Castle or take a ride on the steam train to Bodiam Castle. Shop 150 yards.
The Kino cinema is one minute away. It has 2 screens and a cafe.
