The Space:
Short Stay St Andrews are very pleased to welcome guests to this stunning and beautifully furnished farmhouse, located only a few minutes drive outside of St Andrews, situated in the beautiful surrounding countryside with views overlooking the fields down to the River Eden estuary.
With 5 luxurious bedrooms capable of sleeping 10 total, 4.5 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, spacious back garden with outside dining table, and games room with pool table, table football, putting, and darts board.
The stunning Monksholm House is situated only a few minutes drive outside of St Andrews, between the villages of Kincaple and Strathkinness.
The spacious driveway is capable of easily accommodating multiple vehicles from several households.
Entrance to the property is via the boot room at the north side of the property, which leads onto the open plan and fully equipped living room/kitchen. The kitchen contains two dishwashers, and dining table that can comfortably seat 10, whilst the living room seating centres around the log burner. There is a WC on this floor.
Stairs lead up from a smaller and more intimate seating area to the first and second floors, with three bedrooms on the 1st floor and two bedrooms on the second, and four bathrooms.
The beds in four of the bedrooms can be set-up as either two singles (twins) or a super king, depending upon your preferences.
The back garden contains a second dining table for those looking to make the most of the weather, while a standalone games room with pool table, putting green and dartboard to entertain both adults and children alike.
Ideal for groups of golfers and family gatherings.
Neighbourhood:
The house is a 4 miles from the seaside town of St. Andrews, the home of golf.
You can also join the coastal path and explore the rugged coastal path of the Kingdom of Fife.
The house is just over an hour from Edinburgh Airport and 95 mins from Glasgow.
The surrounding area: You can walk along a safe wide foot and cycle path from the house to St. Andrews or to Guardbridge, home of Eden Mill Gin. St. Andrews is not only the home of golf but it is also a brilliant place to explore with friends and family. It has a charming number of shops, pubs and restaurants. There are a range of activities in the area to keep people of all ages and interests entertained.
Getting around:
There are good public transport links from the house to St. Andrews and Leuchars (train station), with buses passing the farmhouse road end. Fife also offers a flexi bus service to help people reach remote areas of the country such as the village of Peat Inn, where you’ll find our closest Michelin Star restaurant.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire property, with the exception of a few locked storage cupboards. No rooms will be off-limits and all contents within the house are there for our guests use including wifi, the TV and the cooking implements.
We would advise guests that at certain times of the year, the annexe adjoining the property with its own portion of garden and parking area to the east and south may be occupied. As such it's important to note that whilst there is substantial space attached to Monksholm House, the entire grounds is not exclusive use.
