This picturesque area is famed for its relaxed pace and wonderful walks in all directions. The Crickhowell Walking Festival is a highlight of the local calendar every March. This is an excellent area for cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, sailing, fishing, caving and more. Nearby attractions include the Brecon Beacons National Park, Craig y Nos Country Park, the Brecon Mountain Railway, South Wales Borderers Museum and The National Showcaves of Wales. Other events include the Hay Festival of Literature and the Brecon Jazz Festival. You can visit some of the many historic houses, gardens and castle, with Tretower Court and Castle less than 3 miles away. On entering this delightful and spacious traditional property, which retains much original charm and character with original oak beams, exposed stone and wooden flooring, you will find yourself in the bright and welcoming open plan lounge/diner, which is tastefully furnished and complete with TV, DVD and CD player. You will find an attractive dining area, and the elegantly designed kitchen which is reached by a number of steps, this area is fully equipped with oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Just off the kitchen you will find a handy shower room with WC. Heading upstairs you will find two comfy bedrooms, the first is the spacious double room and just along the landing is the further triple bedroom. You will also find a bathroom complete with shower over the bath and WC.
