Featuring a variety of independent shops and excellent places to eat and drink, Brecon is also home to attractions including the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh, Theatr Brycheiniog, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, the 1930s style Brecon Cinema and the magnificent 11th century cathedral. Keen walkers and cyclists can head into the national park, where there are plenty of activities including canoeing, pony trekking and climbing. Local landmarks and attractions include Llangorse Lake (6 miles), Talgarth Mill (9.5 miles), Pen y Fan (9 miles), Tretower Castle and the Storey Arms Outdoor Education Centre (both 11 miles). The kitchen also features a fantastic quarry tiled floor and a walk in pantry with plenty of storage space for a big family feast. The long dining table is a wonderful space to get together and looks out into the garden via the patio doors. The ground floor also features a WC and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Going upstairs, there are six colourful, tastefully decorated and relaxing bedrooms to choose from, each with charming views. The master bedroom has a king size bed, and there s also a double room with a Juliet balcony, as well as two pretty twin rooms and a delightful pair of single rooms. You will also find a shower room and a bathroom. Heading outside, a few steps lead down to the pretty wraparound garden which has a lawn with plenty of space for children to play, and a terrace with garden furniture which provides an ideal spot for sitting back with a glass of wine or a BBQ. The driveway provides ample parking space for four cars, as well as a lockable storage space for mountain bikes in the garden shed.
