The farmhouse is set in an elevated, remote position on the hillside, looking out on the mountains north of Brecon. Walks and hikes abound from your door. Head into the Eppynt mountains for a group hike or venture to the pretty village of Beulah for a pint in the local inn, 5 miles away. Try a bike trail around the Crychan Forest, 8.5 miles away, or head north 20 miles to explore the reservoirs around the Elan Valley. The farmhouse was originally built around 1750 and retains many of its traditional Welsh features, including oak beams and a vast inglenook fireplace. Enter and you ll find an open plan living space. Sets of French doors lead out to the patio and garden. Enjoy cooking together in the chef designed kitchen, complete with a Rangemaster gas oven and an American style fridge/freezer, then settle down around the dining table for a family dinner. The living space is warm and cosy, with a wood burner for extra heat. When you re all tired out, five large and luxurious bedrooms await upstairs off the galleried landing. Three of the bedrooms have an en suite bathroom, and there s another family bathroom in addition. Add a competitive edge to the holiday in the games room which has a full size pool table and TV, or head out to the delights of the garden. Soak in the hot tub in the hillside air or unwind on the terrace, enjoying the mountain views.
