Situated in private grounds of a small holding above the tiny hamlet of Garthbrengy, this is the ideal romantic getaway for two. With miles of countryside all around, you will be able to find a walking or cycling route on your doorstep. The town of Brecon is 5 miles south, with its selection of pubs, eateries, cafes, shops, a theatre and an independent family run cinema. Here you can also participate in water activities on the River Usk, or access the Brecon Beacons National Park where you can explore 520 square miles of green spaces, mountains and woodland. This romantic bolthole has been renovated yet still retains a lot of traditional Welsh character. The deceivingly spacious single storey stone barn has high ceilings, exposed beams and is tastefully decorated throughout. The kitchen area has all of the amenities you should require as well as plenty of surface space to prepare and cook meals. Once complete, you can enjoy the food at the farmhouse style table and chairs. From the kitchen, there are two stone steps into the living area, which is bright and has windows all around, so you can admire the views from the comfortable leather sofas and chairs. The double bedroom features high ceilings and exposed beams, making the area spacious yet homely. The bathroom has a useful walk in shower. The living room doors open up onto a pretty patio with seating area and BBQ. From here, you will be overlooking the on site duck pond and a large lawn area. The views across the valleys and hills are breathtaking. Light pollution is very low here and starry night skies are often a welcome sight when the weather is clear. Ample parking is available to the front of the property.
