Look out over the Usk Valley and towards the Sugar Loaf Mountain from this pretty stone cottage on a sheep farm in the Brecon Beacons. Up to three guests are welcome to stay at the exquisite one bedroom property, which featured in Great Escapes Magazine and ITV1 s Home Sweet Holiday Home. Head out for long hill walks and explore the Llanthony Valley. Find activities including climbing, horse riding and mountain biking in the area. Head 4 miles into Crickhowell, with its shops, tearooms and restaurants. Visit the castle here or walk by the River Usk. Drive 6 miles into Abergavenny, famed as a foodie town, where you can buy fresh produce and dine in restaurants serving dishes made with local ingredients. Find a warm welcome within this traditional Welsh cottage, which is next door to the owner s house and is furnished with beautiful antique pieces. Make yourselves at home in the comfortable lounge/dining room, with its wooden floor and stone fireplace. Fire up the wood burner and enjoy its heat while you watch TV, play a board game or choose a book to read on the sofa or armchairs. Prepare meals in the well equipped cottage kitchen with fresh produce bought locally, then gather at the table to dine together. Climb the stairs up to the galleried landing, where a single bed is located. Find the main bedroom at this level too with a double and one single bed, as well as the bathroom, which has a bath with shower over, and a WC. Wake up on a sunny morning to enjoy breakfast out on your private terrace. Gaze out at your glorious surroundings, which include the owner s manicured topiary, and light the BBQ out here on warm evenings. Find ample parking at the cottage.
