This property is located in a peaceful hamlet and operates a no music policy in the grounds. Music can only be played inside the house with doors and windows closed after 10.30pm. Located on the edge of Horsley, and just 2 miles from the pretty market town of Nailsworth, is this superb, detached period farm house. Tickmorend Farm House offers a delightful base for exploring all the Cotswolds has to offer. As you approach the property you will see the attention to detail that has gone into this property, as you pass the fabulous outdoor dining area that has been created, complete with bar b q and wood-fired pizza oven - an amazing space to entertain friends and family. Stepping through the door, you are immediately caught by the large windows, boasting views of the fabulous gardens giving the property an abundance of natural light. The farmhouse offers a sitting room with large T.V and log-burner, a sun room, again with log-burner and a separate seating area in the dining room, again with log-burner, so you can enjoy quality family time while catching up on your favourite shows or enjoy some quiet time while reading. The kitchen is amply-equipped with everything you could need to rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal for the whole family, with a convenient breakfast table so you can enjoy a hearty breakfast first thing in the morning (it's worth noting that there is a 5th bathroom located just off the kitchen). The dining room offers a place to dine together as a family or to catch up on the day's events. The first floor houses three spacious bedrooms: two king-size rooms (both with en-suite facilities), and a 3rd (double) bedroom which has access to a family bathroom with both bath and shower. The second floor offers a twin and a double bedroom, sharing a 2nd family bathroom. Each bedroom has a range of furniture to store your personal items, as well as dressing area so you can get ready in style. Outside has an enclosed garden with lawn and patio areas, and offers a space to enjoy lovely family barbecues, or just a place to sit out and soak in the wonderful countryside air, while your pets and little ones run freely in the enclosed space. Beyond the more formal gardens you will find a vast paddock, and a separate orchard. There are also a range of green-houses growing a vast array of produce - guests are welcome to help themselves to whatever happens to be in season. Plus the new addition of a wild swimming pool, decked area woodfired hot tub for 6 people and sauna! Off-road parking is available for up to 5 cars. Just 2 miles away, the former mill town of Nailsworth lies in the beautiful wooded Stroud Valley with events and festivals announced by the local Town Crier. It offers numerous high quality shops, a delicatessen, two butchers, an award-winning organic cafe, restaurants, art and antique galleries and a farmers’ market. Close by are Badminton and Gatcombe Park, famous for their horse trials, the historic wool village of Painswick and High Grove in royal Tetbury. The area offers many lovely walks including the 105 mile Cotswold Way with some of the most beautiful scenery in the country and the many walks around Westonbirt Arboretum which also hosts many concerts, festivals and plays. Please Note: Tickmorend Barn is available for £125.00 per night, which sleeps two additional guests.
