Minchinhampton is a picturesque limestone Cotswold village nestled on the Cotswold escarpment. Surrounding the village is Minchinhampton Common, a large expanse of open ground with superb views of the Stroud valley. In the summer months, cows roam freely on the common and occasionally wander into the village streets.
The Stables is one half of a refurbished Cotswold stone working building, and has been refurbished to reflect and respect its working heritage, complemented by contemporary fittings and furnishings. The entrance is via a covered, cobble stoned cart shed, where there’s a fabulous dining table and chairs for guests at both The Stables and The Coach House to enjoy - perfect for an al fresco meal.
Inside the property is a well-equipped kitchen and dining room, complete with all mod cons including a Nespresso coffee machine along with a dining table with chairs for eight guests. The sitting room has a large, wall-mounted Smart television, and you’ll find some charming touches throughout, including a restored hay manger and a window seat and cosy floor heating in every room on the ground floor. Upstairs, the property has two inviting bedrooms, both with superb and spacious en-suites, one of which features a large walk-in shower and the other a romantic roll-top bath. The stables theme continues into one of the bedrooms, with reclaimed saddle holders as clothes rails, along with a wire locker wardrobe.
