The Glen is based in the tranquil village of Blockley, which makes a superb destination for an escape to the Cotswolds, with many gorgeous historic buildings dating back to its time as an important part of the local silk industry. If you're looking for beautiful views and a little peace and quiet, this is the perfect place.
This roomy holiday home sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms, one double and two which can be made up as double or twin. Built in the early 1800s but refurbished to offer all the modern conveniences you'll need, the Glen's comforting ambience shines through with its exposed beams, wooden flooring, antique furnishing and walls of traditional Cotswold stone.
There's plenty of room to relax here, with a spacious sitting room with 40" LCD TV with Sky Freesat channels and a DVD player, as well as an open fireplace for that cosy feeling. You'll also want to spend some time in the large private garden, with its well-kept lawn, attractive flower and herb beds, and barbecue.
You'll have no trouble serving up delicious meals here, with two kitchens available. The first is equipped with a gas range cooker with 5 hobs and an sizeable electric oven, a spacious American-style fridge, a freezer, and a microwave. There's also a dishwasher and a Belfast sink. The second kitchen has an electric cooker, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a washing machine, and a tumble dryer. Sit down for a meal in the comfortable dining room or make use of the plentiful garden furniture outside.
There are two en-suite shower rooms, as well as a family shower room, and one en-suite bathroom. Wi-Fi is provided and there is off-street parking for one vehicle, as well as additional street parking available close by.
There are two excellent pubs within walking distance of the Glen, as well as a café and a shop for picking up essentials. You're also just 3 miles from the busy market town of Moreton-in-Marsh, with a range of shops and restaurants and a mainline rail connection to London Paddington.
