Harp House is a traditional black and white fronted Welsh terraced cottage set in the rural village of Dolwyddelan. Positioned in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, it provides an ideal location for lovers of the outdoors to explore the beauty of the local area from a cosy and characterful base. With views of Snowdon and Moel Siabod from the front door and rear garden, it would be hard to find a more picturesque, idyllic and tranquil setting than this one!
Whist retaining many of its original features, Harp House has recently been modernised to provide the perfect sanctuary to relax with a luxury hot tub, log fire and snug living spaces. The cottage comfortably sleeps five people across the two upstairs bedrooms, which neighbour the stylish bathroom with a walk-in shower. The master bedroom has a king-sized double bed and a single, whilst the second bedroom has a double. On the ground floor, the recently renovated kitchen is fully equipped including a slimline dishwasher. The kitchen backs onto a sizeable garden with a family dining area and a hot tub located under a wooden gazebo. A local stream passes underneath the kitchen window and there's a bridge over it to reach the private and enclosed garden. Because of the stream we recommend young children are supervised whilst in the garden.
With WiFi, board games, books and a wide screen TV, the living area provides the perfect area to relax with friends and family whilst feeling the warmth from the log burner (there are even some friendly sheep to watch out of the living room and bedroom windows as they peacefully graze the neighbouring field!) The dining area has been tastefully furnished and houses a dining table that comfortably seats 6 people.
The lane to the front of the cottage is a cul-de-sac and therefore exceptionally quiet with little passing traffic. There is free parking a few meters up the lane with enough space for two cars.
Whether it’s walking through the endless & stunning local scenery, cycling the captivating routes from the front door, rafting through white water rapids, surfing the waves, zip lining across valleys, teeing off on the surrounding courses, seeing the many local historic sights or simply just relaxing, Harp House provides an exquisite space that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Please note there is a 9pm curfew on the use of the hot tub and playing loud music is not permitted. We recommend that guests bring additional beach towels and perhaps robes (especially in cooler months) for use around the hot tub. There is a starter pack of logs and kindling provided for the log burner.
Located in Dolwyddelan, this cottage is in a rural area and on the waterfront. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Eryri National Park and Yr Wyddfa. Zip World Llechwedd and Conwy Valley Railway Museum are also worth visiting.
