Situated just outside the New Forest National Park within the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and close to the borders of both Dorset and Wiltshire, Garden Cottage provides an ideal setting for a relaxed dog friendly break. Located just outside Fordingbridge in the quiet village of Rockbourne, the cottage is in a great location for exploring the local area, either walking, cycling, horse-riding, or swimming in the sea from the beaches near Bournemouth.

Approached up a small gravel driveway in a quiet secluded setting, Garden Cottage has a comfortable lounge with open fire, perfect for cosy out of season breaks. A well-equipped kitchen with dining area overlooks the rear garden, which is the perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening barbecue. Upstairs are two bedrooms overlooking the front garden and a family bathroom, and there is private parking.

Rockbourne is a picturesque village in Hampshire, surrounded by farmland with many thatched cottages including a thatched local pub just a short distance from Garden Cottage which welcomes dogs in the bar and garden. Rockbourne Roman Villa is nearby, with its unique and interesting museum (seasonal opening). Salisbury, with its historic cathedral, range of shops, restaurants, café’s and pubs is a short drive away. There is a large market twice a week and several festivals and events happening all year round.

There are a number of historic sites locally, including Stonehenge, and several National Trust properties and gardens, plus Wilton House and Breamore House nearby. For families there are several popular attractions such as Paultons Park with Peppa Pig World, Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World, and Adventure Wonderland in Christchurch.
