Mulberry Cottage, Lymington

New Forest. Sleeps up to 4

Set back from Lymington’s bustling High Street, Mulberry Cottage has the benefit of being right in the heart of this popular sailing town, yet secluded enough to offer a peaceful retreat.

The open plan living area is well-equipped, with comfortable seating and dining, and a separate utility room. Upstairs are two en-suite bedrooms allowing added privacy. Outside a little courtyard garden has a dining area in the shade of a pear tree for al fresco meals, and there is private parking. The cottage has been thoughtfully set up to offer a cosy home from home for a relaxing holiday.

The bustling Lymington High Street is home to an array of independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés plus a weekly Saturday Charter market lining the main street. Wander down to the cobbled Quay, where fishermen still offload their daily catch, and enjoy a coffee or a tipple overlooking the water and watch the world go by. A visit to Lymington Sea Water Baths is a must for families in the summer months, with paddle boarding, inflatable fun and kayaking. Just beyond is the Lymington and Keyhaven Nature Reserve, edged by the Solent Way, which is worth exploring by foot or bike, and is a fantastic spot for birdwatching. The New Forest National Park, with its free-roaming ponies, donkeys and cattle, is just a short drive away, as are the beaches of Milford on Sea and Highcliffe, making this the perfect base for your New Forest holiday.
