The cabin sits in a large mature garden near, but separate from, the owners 'Arts & Crafts' family home. Solidly built, well insulated and has central heating. The cabin is in a woodland setting and has its own courtyard style private garden. Dedicated double bedroom in the loft with luxury Egyptian cotton sheets and duvet covers. Large open plan sitting -eating- kitchen area with french doors to garden. Utility room with sink and washer drier. Double sofa bed downstairs- also with luxury cotton. Smart TV with Netflix, and Blu Ray DVD. Wifi. Modern appliances. Shower room with basin and WC. Iron & board, toaster. Barbecue available; please ask.
Sea Reach has its own parking with dedicated gate into its garden so you can come and go as you please. We have plenty of space so if you wanted to bring any toys, boats and trailers, windsurfers, bikes, or classic cars, I am sure we can accommodate. Please just let us know.
The cliff-top and beach are a 12 min. walk away through woodland and a small heath. Alternatively if you follow the stream through the woods you can walk to the village hardly using any roads. Milford on Sea has a good butcher, 2 grocery shops, a good fish & chip shop and numerous good restaurants, pubs and wine bars. The sailing and fishing harbour of Keyhaven are minutes away by car. From there you can walk or take a ferry to Hurst Castle, an exciting fort built by Henry V111. Keyhaven is an outlier of the New Forest National Park. The main body of it is about 15 mins away by car. Here you have a wonderful open space for all sorts of activities. If you are interested in wildlife then the Forest is a must but you may also see birds, deer, badgers, squirrels and foxes near Sea Reach. If you follow the sea wall from Keyhaven it will take you to the internationally famous sailing centre of Lymington. Here there are two marinas, harbour-masters pontoons and the old Town Quay. Boats galore, river trips, ferry to the Isle of Wight, sea water swimming pool, shopping, eating are all part of this lovely Georgian market town. (Market day Saturday) If you like walking or cycling there plenty of options that start right from the door of Sea Reach. Beaulieu, the home of the National Motor Museum, is about 25 min by car. It is a beautiful village at the top of the navigable section of the Beaulieu River. There is a wonderful walk downstream to the well preserved 18th century shipbuilding village Bucklers Hard.
Sea Reach is no smoking and no pets. ( Though we do have our own black Labrador called Raffa. He is not allowed in the cabin. ) Children are welcome but please note that the stairs are steep and open on one side and there is an unprotected bit of landing. It is clear to an adult that there is no reason to go there but a child would see it as a challenge. This is a weekly rental with changeover day on Saturday. We will sometimes consider shorter rentals.
