Kinnersley is a small hamlet located within the heart of the Herefordshire countryside. For walkers its simply perfect for exploring the Black Mountains, Elan Valley and Shropshire Hills with outstanding scenery no matter what the season. There are many traditional Herefordshire villages and market towns to include Hay on Wye, famous for its book, shops and festivals and Hereford, with its cathedral, Mappa Mundi and Chained Library are close. There are many National Trust properties including The Weir Gardens, Croft Castle and Berrington Hall to name a few. A variety of festivals run throughout the year such as The Three Choirs, Ludlow Food Festival and Bishops Castle Folk festival. Leave your boots within the storm porch before you step inside this detached cladded cottage. The entrance hall with stone floors and exposed natural wood offers a warm welcome. To the right of the hall you will find the lounge, a stylish room beautifully styled with rich colours and fabrics complemented by cleverly chosen antique pieces, on a chilly evening you can light the wood burner and relax with friends listening to music or watching a movie on the TV. The kitchen/diner is just off the hallway, a perfect space for entertaining, with bespoke hand painted cabinets offering a splash of colour against the colourful tiling. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric range oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A large table that accommodates six guests enjoys centre stage with views out of the French doors onto the gardens. Also, on the ground floor there is a shower room with shower and WC. So, at the end of the day, climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms. A king size finished with beautiful linens and throws, and an en suite bathroom with bath and WC. The second bedroom, also a king size with en suite shower room and WC. Step outside to enjoy the views towards the black mountains from the wild meadow garden with herbs, trees, shrubs and flowers with a lawned area. Deckchairs are provided to sit around the fire pit, perfect for those colder evenings. You can also cook up a feast on the BBQ. On the deck there are also comfortable chairs which surround the low drinking table. There is also a central bowl which is used for ice, the perfect place to chill your drinks. There is a Shepherd s Hut on site which can be booked at an additional cost, should you want to invite further guests. The hut is perfect for an additional one or two guests.
