Settled on the outskirts of Kingsland, Herefordshire, is this lovely two-bedroom character property, Fieldfare Cottage. Ideally located for exploring the surrounding areas where you’ll find National Trust properties, festivals and activities aplenty, Fieldfare is a fantastic pet-friendly option for couples, a small family or group of three. The property benefits from off-road parking, a front patio garden with bistro table and chairs and for walkers, a public footpath starts just a stone’s throw from your doorstep. Upon entering the cottage you will find the first of two sitting areas, featuring plush chairs and a woodburning stove, sure to be your canine companions favourite spot. Continue through to find a fully-equipped kitchen/diner, where you can cook up a storm as you toast to a fabulous getaway. After dinner, make your way through to the second sitting room, where you can kick-back and relax in front of your favourite shows on the Smart 4K TV with a glass of wine in hand; this room also houses a double sofa bed. Completing the ground floor is a handy shower room and a single bedroom. Upstairs, you will find the remaining bedroom, a pretty double with full-length window, allowing natural light to flow in. Just a short drive away are the villages of Kingsland and Yarpole which are well worth a visit and where you will find a number of traditional pubs and an award-winning community shop and fantastic walks, respectively. Other places worth visiting include Leominster where you can learn about the area’s fascinating history with a trip to Leominster Museum or try Ludlow, home to one of the finest medieval castle ruins in England and which has more than 500 listed buildings. Attractions on your bucket list should include Oaker Wood Activity Centre where the whole family can enjoy high wires, paintball, quad trekking and raft building, National Trust sites Croft Castle and Berrington Hall, Judge’s Lodgings in Presteigne, Stokesay Castle, Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm. Venture into Hereford and here you will find Hereford Cathedral and the Black and White Museum. The cathedral is home to the Mappa Mundi (Hereford's famous medieval map used by scholars to interpret the world over 700 years ago) and the captivating, chained library (a collection of rare and ancient books). Set in the former Bulmer's Cider Factory, the Museum of Cider is also worth a visit. For a memorable getaway to Herefordshire, secure your stay at Fieldfare. Note: This cottage can be booked together with Bullfinch Cottage and Redstart Cottage (refs. 1112280 and 1112282), together sleeping up to 13 guests.
