Set deep into the Herefordshire countryside with many peaceful hamlets within walking distance. Guests are spoilt for choice with the walking and cycling routes that are available from the farm. The Offa s Dyke Path is within 10 miles and offers spectacular views from the Hatterrall Ridge and Twmpa. Further afield lies the Brecon Beacons with rock climbing and serious hiking available for the more adventurous, along with canoeing and kayaking on the River Wye. This area offers stunning river walks, rolling hills and a selection of fine castles and ruins. The vibrant market town of Hay on Wye is 10 miles away and is internationally renowned for the literary festival, but also has a delightful weekly farmers market and The Warren, perfect for paddling in summertime. This spacious farmhouse enjoys a rural setting surrounded by a working farm. A small river The Escley Brook meanders through the farmland, and with just a 300m walk from the house it is perfect for paddling or fishing. The front of the cottage is raised and accessed by stone steps where you will enter the front porch. Here you can take a seat to remove boots and coats after a day exploring whilst enjoying the view. Step on into the snug with leather armchairs, TV, and electric effect wood burner. The lounge is off to the right, with low ceilings, original wooden panelled walls, and a stone inglenook fireplace with a wood burner and basket of logs; there is also a wall mounted TV. Off the lounge, you can access a games room, with a well stocked bookcase and chest of board games for all to enjoy. To the far side of the farmhouse is a spacious kitchen/diner, beautifully finished and well equipped with electric range oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. And for dining, there is a large traditional table with low lighting that is perfect for eight. There is a utility room with a sink and washing machine along with a separate shower room with a shower and WC. When the day is done climb the stone cottage stairs that spiral up to the first floor. The landing has a split level and leads the way to four bedrooms made up of a king size with en suite shower and WC, a double which enjoys garden views, a king size with dual aspect views, and a twin room. There is a bathroom with a free standing claw foot bath, separate shower, and WC. You can access the garden from the raised terrace where there is seating, and the enclosed gardens have a variety of levels with areas that you can sit at to enjoy the views. To the top of the garden, there is a table and chairs with parasol. There is off road parking for four cars and storage for bikes.
