The village of Glasbury sits on the banks of the River Wye, well served with a River Café and two inns. For walking you can access the Begwyns, five hundred and eighty acres of National Trust hills and rolling landscape with breath taking views across The Brecon Beacon National Park. For the energetic there s access to mountain biking, climbing, kayaking, fishing and horse riding where you can explore the four mile stretch between Glasbury and Hay, alternatively, if you re not keen on canoeing, you could relax at The Bont the village beach thats great for wild swimming and just a short walk from the chapel. Hay on Wye is within easy reach and is famous for its International Book Festival, with plenty of second hand bookshops, an art house cinema and independent shops, as well as The Globe at Hay. This pinnacled gothic chapel has now been lovingly converted into a sociable and warm family home, a gallery and creative space for guests with a rotation of art works twice a year. You will see that the chapel has two original wooden doors, the main door gives access to a small lobby with where you will gain your first experience of the colourful wall papers and eclectic style. Step on inside to the large kitchen, an open plan area that s perfect for a keen chef, the contemporary style sits well within the tall ceilings and original features of the chapel. Well equipped and offering an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, and for spectators or a morning coffee there is a breakfast bar with stools. For dining, a long table takes centre stage within the heart of the chapel finished with a selection of chairs and benches where you can enjoy a celebration or simple supper of local produce. When its time to relax you can sink onto one of the many sofas or armchairs and enjoy a movie on the TV. There is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and a shower room with WC on the ground floor. The chapel has two staircases both leading to a wide landing that enjoys the natural light from the large windows, here you can take some time to relax. There are four bedrooms on this floor all finished with a unique style. A king size room with en suite shower and WC, a king size room, and two bedrooms with zip and links beds which can be a super king or twin room. There is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Outside the chapel you can enjoy summer dining to the side where there is a large table and benches. The gardens have been planted by the owner and overlook the village green.
