Situated in the heart of the renowned village of Dornoch, Burnside is an imposing, traditional stone house, set in its own garden grounds. This spacious villa offers a high standard of accommodation for up to ten guests. With a living room, sitting room, two kitchens and five generously proportioned bedrooms, all with their own TVs, this superb village house is ideal for family get-togethers and larger group holidays. Burnside is accessed via its own original Victorian stone bridge over the burn that runs alongside and is surrounded by garden and grounds. It is decorated to a high specification in a contemporary Scottish style throughout. There is a superb living room with feature wood burner. The main kitchen/dining room is spacious and well equipped. There is a separate smaller kitchen with a second dishwasher and washing machine. A wide, sweeping, original staircase leads up to the first floor (there is also a second staircase off the small kitchen). On this floor there are five beautifully presented bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and two further bathrooms. Outside the gardens surround the property and there is a large outdoor dining table and chairs and a family-sized barbeque for visitor’s use.
Burnside is situated in a quiet road, just off from the centre of the village of Dornoch, long established as a destination for visitors from around the world. The internationally-renowned Royal Dornoch Championship and Struie golf courses are only a short walk away. The former is ranked 6th in the world. Other nearby attractions include miles of award-winning sandy beaches, breathtaking scenery and lots of indigenous wildlife, internationally-renowned distilleries such as Glenmorangie and outstanding historical sites, all within easy reach. Dornoch also has an excellent selection of facilities, all within a short level walk of the house, including restaurants, cafés, interesting and unusual shops and an award-winning museum. All are centred around the stunning 13th-century cathedral that dominates this historic village. Beach 100 yards. Shop 150 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
