Nearby villages offer great pubs with home-cooked food, while the southwest coast of the island boasts beautiful small bays and coves, with Brighstone beach just a short drive away. Ventnor and Shanklin, larger resorts, are also within easy reach.
Upon entering the cottage, guests are greeted by a bright and airy open plan lounge/dining area with comfortable leather sofas, a wood burner, and stunning views of the garden and downs beyond. The modern kitchen is well-equipped with essential appliances, and a separate utility room houses a fridge/freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer. The ground floor includes a single bedroom with a Smart TV, a twin bedroom, and a shower room with WC. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms with original fireplaces, and a bathroom with a bath, separate shower, and WC.
Outside, a secluded garden at the rear of the cottage offers idyllic views of the fields and downs, with occasional visits from wildlife such as rabbits, pheasants, and partridges. A paved seating area with a built-in BBQ and garden furniture provides the perfect setting for al fresco dining. Off-street parking for two medium-sized cars is available at the side of the cottage.
