Situated just outside the pretty village of Smarden, this oast house occupies a stunning pocket of the Kentish countryside. Within easy reach of many local attractions such as Leeds castle, local vineyards and Sissinghurst Castle, you can also find plenty of quaint villages and market towns with no shortage of independent cafes, restaurants and antique shops. The village of Smarden boasts a wonderful art gallery, local butchers and two traditional pubs, perfect for enjoying a spot of refreshment after one of the many long country walks on offer. Step into generous entrance hallway with plenty of storage space for coats and shoes and go through to the large lounge with cosy sofas to relax in front of the wood burner and watch a film on the Smart TV with sound bar. Patio doors open onto the garden. The spacious kitchen/diner is well equipped with an electric Range style oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, wine chiller and a separate utility room with an American style fridge/freezer (integral ice maker) and washing machine. The dining area is big enough for everyone and is the perfect space to celebrate a special occasion, with a large table and bi folding doors that open out onto the patio, overlooking the garden and stunning views across the countryside. A light, airy games room will keep everyone entertained, with table football, pool table, various board games and access out onto the courtyard garden. Completing the ground floor is the first of the bedrooms, featuring a super king size bed (which can be made into a twin on request) and an additional single pull out bed (available on request) and a shower room with shower and a separate WC. Heading up to the first floor, you will find the remaining four bedrooms, all of which boast fantastic views over the garden and beyond. First is a super king size (which can be made into a twin on request) and an additional single pull out bed (available on request) with a TV and unique circular en suite shower and WC, housed within the Oast tower. There is also a further king size and two double rooms. The stylish bathroom completes the accommodation, with shower over bath and WC. The garden houses a large patio area with garden furniture and a gas BBQ perfect for al fresco dining and warm summer evenings. Guests also have the use of their own outdoor heated swimming pool (mid May mid September) and a hot tub, with a separate changing room with a shower and WC. Please note, there is a large unfenced pond in the garden, so children must be supervised at all times. At the rear of the property there is a fully enclosed courtyard garden area with access from the games room and ground floor bedroom offering a delightful sun trap where a morning coffee can be enjoyed at the bistro table and chairs. The property can accommodate off road parking for five cars.
