Further away lies the market town of Kendal, a place that is a gateway to the Lake District's outdoor delights, but also offers fantastic golfing opportunities, including the Kendal Golf Club, the intriguing Kendal Museum, and the ruins of the once-glorious Kendal Castle. If watersports and climbing are your specialty, venture into the Lake District National Park to find a plethora of lakes and peaks, or travel to the Arnside & Silverdale AONB for more coastal fun?
