A Large Norfolk Country Cottage
Set amidst open countryside, this large detached Norfolk cottage with attached annexe offers substantial flexible accommodation. Beckfield Farm is conveniently set in Breckland, on the borders of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, meaning that the very best of East Anglia is within easy reach.
The cottage is surrounded by its own large garden. It is comfortably furnished throughout with two sitting rooms, one with a wood-burning stove, the other with open fire. The large farmhouse kitchen is heated by a Stanley range cooker.
An ideal Norfolk holiday cottage venue for family or get together with friends. It is a short drive from the pretty villages of Mundford with many local ammenities,and Northwold, on the edge of Thetford Forest National Park and only a short drive to the stunning North Norfolk Coast with lovely sandy beaches at Hunstanton, Wells-next-the-Sea, Brancaster and Cromer for its famous Cromer crabs.

Thetford Forest is Britain’s largest lowland pine forest and offers extensive walks and bicycle trails - cycles can be hired from the High Lodge Forest Centre, home of Go Ape. In summer, High Lodge also offers a range of great activities including open-air concerts and music festivals. The imposing NT property Oxburgh Hall is 3 miles; within easy reach are the pretty market towns of Swaffham, Downham Market, Brandon, Burnham Market and Holt. A quick half hour drive to Newmarket for a day at the races or the ever popular cities of Norwich and Cambridge.
For a more restful break the area is ideal for bird watching, fishing or walking in the country. There are footpaths nearby into Thetford Forest and guests can also walk around the 3 acre cider apple orchard located next door and share a 15ft Splasher Pool. After a day’s sightseeing guests can return to enjoy a glass of wine or alfresco dining in the delightful enclosed courtyard with Hot Tub (£50). A traditional Norfolk pub (The Crown Hotel Mundford) with an excellent menu and first class draught ales is 2 miles (taxi service by prior arrangement). Shops 2 miles.

First floor of the cottage: Double bedroom with 6ft bed, single sofabed (alternative sleeping) and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, shower cubicle, shower attachment, toilet and underfloor heated tiled floor. Two twin bedrooms, one with TV/DVD's Only. Single bedroom with additional pull-out bed (for+1). Bathroom with shower attachment, toilet.
