The bustling seaside resort of Scarborough (7.5 miles) lies to the south with its wonderful beaches and fantastic range of shops, pubs and amusements for all the family. The historic coastal town of Whitby (15 miles) is to the north, and is known for its lovely beach and famous abbey. Heading inland you can discover the wild beauty of the North York Moors.
