The village of Killinghall where this property is situated, is an attractive part of the world with stone cottages and two village pubs. To the south of the property and just over a 2 mile drive away, the historic town of Harrogate is well known for its spa and its excellent range of eateries, perhaps most notably the famous Bettys Tearooms. The surrounding area also has much to offer visitors who can enjoy walks in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, visit historic sites such as Fountains Abbey and Ripley Castle, and spend a thrilling day at the theme park at nearby Lightwater Valley. For those who are happy to travel a little further afield, the cities of York and Leeds are each located at 23 and 18.5 miles respectively. Guests staying at this property will find a warm welcome awaits as they step inside this property and make themselves at home in the beautifully styled open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This room has been finished to a high standard with some delightful touches which include a vintage hanging chair and a warming wood burner. Deep sofas and comfy armchairs allow guests to relax in the evenings whilst enjoying a favourite programme on the TV or a game on the Nintendo Wii games console. The dining table sits between the lounge and the kitchen area where a breakfast bar offers a second place to enjoy meals, whilst there is also a good selection of equipment including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. One bedroom, a cosy double room, can also be found on the ground floor, as can a wet room with a shower and WC. (Please note that the bed in this room can only be accessed from one side). The two remaining bedrooms are situated on the first floor, one of these is a king sized room, whilst the other is a twin which can be made up as a super king on request (must be stated at the time of booking). The bathroom on this floor offers a shower over bath and WC. To the rear of the cottage, guests will find a pleasant private patio seating area for which garden furniture is provided, making it a great spot for sitting out with drinks or meals in the summer months. There is also access to a shared, enclosed lawned garden which is shared with the neighbouring holiday cottage, as well as ample off road parking. There is added benefit of an on site cook shop open Tuesday to Saturday afternoons.
