This delightful, beamed cottage is ideally situated both for exploring the coast and for discovering the stunning scenery of the North York Moors. The tranquil village of Sandsend features a charming promenade, a sandy beach, and some great places to eat and drink. The famous seaside town of Whitby known for its connections to the Dracula story is just along the coast (3 miles) and offers fine restaurants, independent shops, and a ruined abbey. There are many other beautiful locations to discover including Staithes (7.5 miles), Runswick Bay (5.5 miles), and the lovely village of Robin Hood's Bay (8 miles), renowned for its stunning views and maze of cobbled streets and in reach of the bustling town of Scarborough (21 miles). This charming three storey cottage has superb sea views; with the beach just metres away, you may find the lure of an early morning walk along the sand to catch the sunrise an irresistible draw. With a decked garden to the front which is a sun trap for most of the day enter into this warm and inviting entrance. The cottage has the feel of a Hamptons beach house and the overall look is one of relaxed, understated elegance combining a gentle palette of colours and fantastic artisan touches, along with polished pebbles and seashells to create a calming coastal vibe. Split over three levels, the floor plan is excellent for mixed generation groups. Starting on the lower ground floor, the kitchen has a very high quality finish and is generously equipped, benefitting from a range style cooker with a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The adjoining breakfast room has a Smart TV and offers plenty of space for everyone to gather around the large farmhouse style table for relaxed breakfasts and convivial lunches whilst enjoying the lovely sea views. The rear door opens onto a small terrace and also makes for a handy place to enter when you arrive back from the beach. Start your day with an invigorating shower in the luxurious shower room. Completing this level is a useful utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, additional fridge, freezer, Belfast sink, airer/ironing board and iron, and storage space for all of your beach equipment there are beach chairs and windbreaks provided for your use. Enjoy formal dinners around the table in the dining room on the ground floor. This light filled room is elegant in style with a chandelier and an armoire filled with crystal ware. After dinner, head into the sophisticated sitting room which is once again gifted with the sea views; sink into one of the comfy sofas or the armchair warmed by the heat from the coal effect gas fire and watch a film on the Smart TV or choose one of many books from the bookcase for a spot of quiet time. There is also a downstairs cloakroom with a WC on this floor. When it's time to turn in, make your way upstairs to the second floor to find three divine bedrooms, all with beamed, high open ceilings and chandeliers: a king size with views of the bay, another king size with a four poster bed and a glimpse of the sea, and a quaint twin bedroom. The bathroom is finished with Italian marble tiles and features a bath with a shower attachment, washbasin and WC. Sit out on the front sun deck for a nightcap before going to bed, listen to the sound of the waves and toast to your Yorkshire coastal getaway! There is off road tandem parking for two cars and on street parking directly outside (subject to availability).
