A hidden gem, located a mile down a farm track but less than 3 miles from Whitby town centre with a whole host of activities are nearby. Visit Whitby Abbey, 2.5 miles away, and visit the birthplace of Dracula himself. Atmospheric to say the least, it is a great place to soak in the ambience and enjoy the views. Speaking of views, 6 miles away is Robin Hood's Bay. An old smugglers village with sweeping vistas across the sea, it is absolutely worth a trip, especially with a picnic basket in tow. For a special twist, head off at night and visit Dalby Forest, 16 miles away. One of the best dark sky discovery sites in the country, the Milky Way can be seen by the naked eye. The location for this cottage is extra special, set down a quiet country lane in the tiny hamlet of Golden Grove, on the outskirts of Ruswarp and a few miles from the gorgeous Yorkshire Coast. You have the best of both worlds here, peace and quiet in a rural location (and parking right outside!) but with the delights of Whitby (2 miles) just a few minutes' drive away. Boasting handsome exteriors, the inside of this jaw dropping property never ceases to impress. Wander into the large lounge and let yourself be immediately won over. With fantastic feature stone walls, huge window with countryside views and a double sided wood burner that also faces into the kitchen/diner, you won't know where to look next. Choose your favourite seat and kick back. Home to a TV with Freeview, Netflix and DVD player, as well as Wi Fi access, games and books, all generations will find something to occupy themselves with on rainy days and chilled out winter evenings. On the opposite side of the wood burner to the lounge is the kitchen/diner. Here, oak floors, neutral decor and stylish furnishings create a handsome space and charming atmosphere. In the kitchen itself, an oven with electric hob, dishwasher, toaster, microwave and helpful extras make meal prep easy, whether you all fancy a Yorkshire brew and piece of buttery toast or a hearty meal with whacks of veg. For extra peace of mind, a washing machine and tumbler dryer is also provided in the utility room outside. When you are ready to come together, a grand dining table with plenty of space for everyone affords lovely views through the window and a great space for socialising. Stepping up to the first floor, you will find the master bedroom. Benefitting from far reaching views, king size cast iron bed and large en suite shower room, it is a beautiful space. Another bedroom can also be found on the first floor, home to a double bed and the family bathroom can also be found on this floor. On the second floor are the two remaining bedrooms: two twin rooms. The second twin room is complete with table football, TV and a DVD player with a selection of DVD's to choose from. Outside, an elevated garden is the perfect setting for long summer afternoons in the sunshine. Relax on the sunny enclosed patio area complete with rattan furniture, and breathe in the fresh country air. The garden is set on different levels with a further patio area and garden furniture at the top. There is off road parking for two cars located next to the cottage.
