There are colourful gardens in Peasholm Park, which hosts a wonderful open air theatre, whilst the old Spa Theatre puts on a variety of summer shows. The beautiful surrounding countryside and moors are well worth exploring, with plenty of walking opportunities and pretty coastal and inland villages to visit, including Robin Hood's Bay, Pickering and Flamborough Head.
