This barn conversion cottage enjoys a quiet farmland location surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. There are pleasant country walks to be enjoyed in the local area, and there is a village pub and well stocked farm shop within 1.5 miles of the cottage. For those who would like to spend some time exploring all that the local towns have to offer, both Harrogate and Leeds are within easy driving distance, offering plenty to see and do, with Harrogate boasting its fabulous Turkish bath spa and Leeds offering excellent shopping including a branch of Harvey Nichols. Those with an interesting in history and heritage will perhaps enjoy a visit to nearby Harewood House which not only offers an interesting art collections, splendid gardens, and parkland, but also a farm and rare birds park. The owners of this property have clearly spent a lot of time and love creating this attractive holiday cottage. On arrival, guests may choose first to simply put their feet up in the lounge, a welcoming room with a flagstone floor, warming wood burner, two inviting sofas, a pretty window seat, and a TV/DVD. This room is the ideal space to enjoy spending time together in the evenings after a day of sightseeing in the local area. In winter light the wood burner to cast a cosy glow over the room, or in summer throw open the patio doors which open onto the south facing patio. The flagstones continue through to the kitchen/diner, a lovely room which has maintained the rustic feel of the original barn, whilst providing all the equipment that the modern cook will need to prepare all their favourite dishes, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The washing machine and tumble dryer can be found housed separately in the ground floor cloakroom which also has a WC. The property's three bedrooms are located upstairs on the first floor, all of which have attractive beamed ceilings. The first of these is a sanctuary like king size master bedroom, to which a single bed can be added on request at an additional charge. The second bedroom is another king size room, however this one can be made up as a twin room on request. The third bedroom is a single room which makes a wonderful childs hideaway, as it has a bespoke child's size cabin bed which has been lovingly crafted from reclaimed wood. The bathroom can also be found on the first floor and offers a shower over bath and WC. Outside, the property benefits from a private patio with garden furniture, which gives guests an ideal spot to sit out and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. BBQs are allowed, but we do ask guests to bring their own. Guests also have access to four acres of grassed fields (please note there maybe live stock in some fields), and may also like to meet the resident hens, ducks, and sheep. The owners are also happy for guests to view the fascinating beehives which produce the farms own honey. There is off road parking available for two cars.
