Set beside the River Wharfe with impressive views of the steep hillside and sitting at the foot of Great Whernside sits the charming village of Kettlewell. Kettlewell is a friendly village offering two gastro pubs, a village store, a garage and a couple of tea rooms. Walkers are spoilt for choice with some of the best walking in the Dales, from energetic fell walking to a gentle stroll along the river. Cyclists can explore quiet country lanes lined with dry stone walls and peaceful Dales villages. Visit Grassington, famed for its summer festival and Dickensian Christmas celebrations, or the historic market town of Skipton, with its Norman castle and award winning high street hosting a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Step inside the entrance vestibule, hang up your coat and leave your boots on the shoe rack. You won't help but notice the toasty warm floor and inviting space around which is generously lit and tastefully furnished, yet has kept true to its charming history. This open plan kitchen/diner is a wonderful socialising space with a large wood burner at its heart. Within the kitchen area, is a range style electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Sit at the breakfast bar, wine in hand as the chef of the group rustles up a hearty meal. Take your meal over to the dining table which comfortably seats up to eight. Come together for after dinner games at the table. There is a handy utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, essential if you have children running about in muddy fields! After a busy day head into the cosy lounge with a wood burner and relax into the plush comfy sofa. There is a Smart TV for your entertainment or simply read a good book. Completing the ground floor is a wet room with a shower and WC. When it's time to turn in, climb the stairs to the first floor, there are three bedrooms, a king size overlooking the rear garden with an en suite shower and WC, and two super king size zip and link (which can be made up as a twin on request) with views out to the babbling beck and hills beyond. The bathroom has an impressive freestanding bath, separate shower and WC. Step outside to the enclosed patio, a lovely spot for your morning coffee at the table listening to the sounds of your rural surroundings. A raised lawn area can be accessed via some stone steps, throw down a blanket and enjoy a picnic while basking in the warm sunshine. A permit is available for the village public car park.
