This charming former Court House located in the centre of Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale, ten miles from Grassington. At the end of the street is the high street, with famously the Oldest Sweet Shop in the world and a range of traditional butchers, cafes & tea rooms, antique shops, pubs and restaurants. The River Nidd winds its way through the old town and there is an excellent park and fabulous cricket ground on the banks of the river, with the Nidd Valley offering excellent opportunities for walking, cycling and birdwatching. The picturesque village of Grassington is within driving distance as are the towns of Skipton and Harrogate The market towns of Ripon, Richmond, Leyburn and Hawes are within easy reach and offer many facilities to enjoy. Occupying a fine period building this delightful cottage retains many characterful features including sash and bay windows, high cornice ceilings and exposed trusses and beams. The owners have lovingly furnished the cottage throughout to provide a first class property. Stepping into the entrance hall with original Victorian tiles, you can hang your coat and start your stay. Head through to the former Judges robing room, now home to a beautiful spacious lounge, with gorgeous interior finish and plenty of comfy seating and a welcoming gas fire set in an old marble fireplace, making a great place to relax in front of after a full day out and about exploring the area. The open plan kitchen/diner, originally part of the Court room itself, has been carefully thought of with everything you need to prepare a home cooked meal with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher and dining table with bench seating and chairs. When it's time to retire, head upstairs to the stunning view of the court room ceiling beams, cleverly displayed through glass, to the three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin. The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. There is on street parking adjacent to the property (subject to availability) and Pateley Bridge South Car Park is 0.3 miles (charges may apply)
