Head just 3 miles north of the village and you can be walking in Cropton Forest. Travel another 18 miles and you ll reach the fishing town of Whitby or you can travel there by steam train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, passing by beautiful moorland scenery. A little further down the coast visit Scarborough (23 miles) with its two sandy beaches, amusements and castle. A beautifully renovated barn, complete with an open beamed ceiling, exposed stone walls and a large fireplace. Step inside the convenient entrance area where you can leave your boots and coats after a walk, and make your way into the open plan living space, featuring a spacious lounge with a Smart TV and wood burner. This is the perfect place to relax with your family or friends at the end of the day, planning the next day's outing. The separate kitchen just off the lounge is generously equipped with all your home comforts, ready for you to create a feast. There are three well proportioned bedrooms, each with space to store away your things; chose from a double room, a twin room or a family room which features a double bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a single bunk above. Freshen up in either of the two bathrooms: one with a walk in shower or one with a shower over the bath. Heading outside there is a large communal garden with well stocked borders and wildflower patches with strategically placed benches where you can while away the hours with a good book or just admire the scenery. There is also a fabulous pool house with changing facilities and showers; take a dip in the 6 metre exercise pool and finish off in the sauna and hot tub.
