The property is located on a friendly smallholding with livestock in the neighbouring fields, less than 4 miles by car from Warkworth on the River Coquet or, leave the car and walk the shorter route (1 mile). Explore the history of the magnificent castle ruins, browse the independent shops and galleries in the village and enjoy a picnic on the sandy beach. There is a good choice of pubs and restaurants to choose from and a golf course with stunning sea views. Walk along the river to the nearby Amble Marina and watch the fishing boats land their catch, eat at the renowned seafood restaurants, walk around the pier, and visit the ice cream parlour for treats. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is just 11.5 miles away and offers a great day out too. Step into the hallway of this welcoming property where you can leave your outdoor clothing and shoes. Head into the lounge with dual aspect windows offering views of the gardens to the front and side of the cottage, comfortable seating, and a feature fireplace housing the cosy, electric wood burner effect fire for lazy evenings in. At mealtimes, the kitchen/diner comes with plenty of rustic charm and is a lovely place to sit together for sociable meals at the extending dining table. From here, sliding doors open onto the expansive garden. The family cook will find everything needed to make a great meal, including a range style gas hob and electric oven, a microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. A cupboard off the hallway houses a fridge/freezer, while the utility room has a washing machine and a Belfast sink. A door from the utility area leads out onto the patio and orchard garden beyond. Three of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor: to the front is one double, and to the rear are a further two double bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room and WC. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. Stairs from the lounge lead up to the first floor and the cosy and characterful fourth bedroom, set in the eaves with a double bed and Velux style windows. Enjoy some friendly family sporting tournaments in the spacious games room/chill out area with an air hockey table, a full size pool table, and seating, also located on the first floor. Outside, the wrap around country garden has a table and chairs and a charcoal BBQ at the front where you can dine alfresco and watch the sunsets. You can see the buildings of the smallholding from the front garden and may have the odd duck waddling by to say hello. To the rear, you will find more garden furniture to relax on and children will enjoy playing hide and seek in the garden s orchard areas. Private, off road parking is available for four cars.
