The popular and historic coastal village of Bamburgh is just a short drive from the cottage, and can also be reached via a rural, public footpath. The famous Bamburgh Castle sits up high and is a truly magnificent sight, overlooking the long sandy beach, which is perfect for long walks with your family and friends. Within the town are a host of great shops, restaurants and cafes. A little further along the coast are the popular seaside villages of Seahouses and Beadnell. Beadnell is home to a beautiful bay, ideal for water sports. From Seahouses, you can take a short boat trip to the Farne Islands, a sea bird sanctuary with a colony of Atlantic and Grey Seals. On entering this beautiful barn conversion which retains several original features including exposed beams, you will find yourself in the spacious and tastefully furnished lounge. With a feature stone wall and large, arching windows and French doors, this is a light and attractive space, ideal for relaxing in. There s plenty of comfortable seating, a traditional wood burner, TV, DVD and a large bookcase filled with books, games and DVDs. Heading up one step into the attractive and large kitchen/diner, you will find a delightful dining area with seating for up to eight guests, along with a breakfast bar. The stylishly designed kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, cafetiere and iPod dock. Exploring the ground floor further you will find a cosy twin bedroom, as well as a shower room with walk in shower and WC. Going upstairs to the first floor you will find three further comfy bedrooms. There s a king size room with a TV and DVD, a double bedroom with an additional single bed, and there s also a king size room with a small en suite shower room with a WC. You will also find a bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. Stepping outside you will find a large, lawn garden which is ideal for running about and a family game of football, rounders or cricket. There is ample off road parking available for at two or three cars.
