Here you ll find independent shops, including an amazing second hand bookshop housed in the old station, a theatre, cafes, bars and restaurants. Visit magnificent Alnwick Castle and the award winning gardens, play golf in beautiful settings and explore many coastal walks in the area. Stroll on Alnmouth s sandy beach (2.5 miles) and browse the village shops, pubs and cafes. Discover Warkworth Castle (5 miles) and the friendly port of Amble with its renowned seafood restaurants. This is also a great touring base for visits to Berwick, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Durham. This beautifully presented property offers a warm welcome all year round. Enter through the French doors and into the open plan kitchen/diner which is a bright and airy space with gorgeous views across the garden and open countryside. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need, including an electric hob set into the kitchen island worktop, a built in electric oven and microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a washer/dryer, and for sociable mealtimes, you can sit down together at the large dining table with six chairs. After dinner, wander through to the cosy lounge to relax on comfortable seating with a drink in front of the wood burner (logs provided). There is a wide screen Smart TV for movie nights and a selection of books to dip into during your holiday. The downstairs contemporary shower room and WC is located just off the lounge and a door from the rear hallway leads out into the garden. At bedtime, head upstairs to find the two beautifully presented bedrooms for a peaceful night s sleep. The main bedroom has a mahogany, king size sleigh bed with lovely views and plenty of storage space. The twin bedroom has two sumptuous single beds and full height trundle beds beneath, which can be made up as two additional single beds for a larger family on request. The second shower room features a large, walk in shower and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed, wrap around garden with a patio area at the front and a large, lawned garden and patio area to the rear of the property where you can sit in the sunshine with your morning coffee to enjoy the views and dine alfresco after your days out exploring. Private, off road parking is available for two cars.
