The surrounding area is a wonderful haven for walkers with lots of countryside to explore and walks along The Idle and The Chesterfield Canal. Yards away from your front door is The River Idle and its surrounds with an abundance of great British wildlife including kingfishers, buzzards, owls, heron, woodpecker, moorhen and numerous birds! The Art Studio is sited directly on a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) - Head down to Idle Valley Nature Reserve to admire the striking wetland scenery. Head for the medieval city of Lincoln to see the incredible cathedral and adjacent castle, or perhaps visit The International Bomber Command Centre and memorial if you are interested in WWII history. Or for excitement there's the big cats at The Yorkshire Wildlife Park or Doncaster Races, home of The St.Leger Festival.
