The cottage makes a good centre for a holiday in beautiful and unnspoilt North Pembrokeshire. Pencraig (SA42 0SE) is a two bedroom cottage with a double and two single beds sitting/dining room, kitchen and bathroom garden outside and parking by the front door. It's a short walk to the beach - 700m - and then to Dinas Island beyond.
The nearest town in Newport with a good choice of restaurants, lovely beach, golf course and interesting history.
There are both challenging and easy walks. Dinas Island is owned by the National Trust and the walk around the perimeter has been voted AA 'Walk of the Year' for the whole of Britain. There are a wide variety of seabirds resident and others who come to breed. The cottage is neither overlooked or part of an estate or development. The heather and hills in the National Park are just a mile or so away.
The cottage is available for short breaks throughout the year as well as more conventional holidays.
Pencraig is a stone cottage dating back a century or two. It has a nice log fire and is comfortable and homely. The bathroom is modern, with full size bath and shower
PENCRAIG NEWS
I believe we all need to remain vigilant over Covid. I would rather visitors bought their own linen, but know this can be difficult. Visitors should display no symptoms, and should not have tested positive within a week of travelling. and have not been named in any test and trace. My main concern is not to have visitors to Pencraig bringing an infection. I apologise if this sounds tough but the area has had few cases so far. I'd need an email to confirm this and also a promise that I will be told if the situation changes.
Visitors must bring masks and other PPE kit and these are often still being worn in shops and public buildings in Wales. You may want to do some extra sanitising in the cottage and this is fine, provided furnishings, surfaces or floor coverings aren't damaged.
Accepting the booking means accepting these conditions.
Best wishes, Mike D
