Why not spend a day visiting the historic county town of Shrewsbury with its medieval architecture, individual shops, riverside walks and cafés and restaurants? For history lovers the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge with its many museums, including the Living History Museum at Blists Hill is a must or perhaps touring round visiting the variety of National Trust properties and lovely gardens in the area might be more to your liking. There are many pretty towns and villages in this part of Shropshire, including Much Wenlock, Church Stretton, Bridgnorth and Ludlow and if you want to venture further afield you are within easy travelling distance to Oswestry and across into Mid Wales.
