On the edge of a large and beautiful wood, Heyden Cottage is a wonderful moorland Exmoor cottage found at the end of its own private uneven drive. With fabulous walks and mountain bike trails from the door and views across moorland from most windows it sits in a magical spot, great for stargazing. Inside there's a huge heart-of-the-house kitchen with dining table/chairs and a sofa plus wood burning stove to relax in front of after a hard day exploring the hills. There is also a cosy sitting room with an open fire (please note there is no TV at this property) and also a ground floor WC and shower room. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a double, twin and a single plus another bathroom with separate shower. Outside a suntrap courtyard with table/chairs and beyond the woodland and orchard to discover. From this unique base you can explore the very best of Exmoor; visit the hilltop castle of Dunster, take a trip to the idyllic National Trust village of Selworthy and explore the coastal village of Porlock. The resort town of Minehead is just 1 and a half miles away and is also worth a visit if you can drag yourself away from such a tranquil base.
