The small, rural village of Edington is situated between Glastonbury and Bridgwater, and is an excellent base for exploring this historic and beautiful part of England. On the edge of the Polden Hills and Somerset Levels, the open landscape is perfect for cycling, bird watching, fishing and walking. The Quantocks, the Mendips and the cities of Bath and Wells are all within easy reach. The Granary is a super holiday cottage in the grounds of the owner's' extensive home. Pristine gardens conceal a solar heated plunge pool (available 1st May until August by prior arrangement with the owner). Inside, the living space is open plan, with lofty ceilings, feature stone walls and glazed doors which look over the garden. From the neat kitchen, steep stairs lead to the bright and airy bedroom on the mezzanine. The Granary is a Grade 2 listed late 18 century modernised building constructed of Blue Lias stone and lime mortar. During renovation some of the walls were plastered internally with traditional lime and horse hair render according to the requirements of Historic Buildings.
