Tideswell 3 miles. A lovely, spacious detached cottage with excellent views and extensive gardens in the rural village of Wardlow, close to Tideswell. This delightful cottage is perfectly placed for families or groups to enjoy the very best that the Peak District National Park has to offer. This attractive cottage has been sympathetically modernised with a tasteful combination of contemporary furniture and soft furnishings. Many of the original period features, such as beamed ceilings and quarry tile floors, have been preserved. The three bedrooms, two of which have en-suite showers, are spacious with lovely views, and can be offered as super king-size doubles or twin beds, making the cottage very adaptable to the particular needs of your family or group. Also the family bathroom is a great place for a luxurious soak or tired muscle therapy. The farmhouse-style kitchen with dining area is an ideal place to gather for a hearty meal, while your group debates which of the myriad of things to do next. There is an attractive sitting room with woodburning stove, as well as a snug with open fireplace, if you wish to be far from the madding crowd. The utility room and the two halls means theres plenty of space to hang up coats and park muddy boots, and theres even a bed and supply of toys for Fido! Outside, the extensive gardens, with open views of the surrounding countryside, afford maximum sun worship. If you are either a mountain or road cyclist, you will already know that this part of the world is a two-wheel heaven, so its good to know there is also a garage where your trusty steed can be stabled securely. A large choice of pubs, eateries and shops are available in the neighbouring pretty villages of Ashford-in-the-Water, Great Longstone and Tideswell. With fantastic walks, rides, and tourist attractions all within easy reach, this is a cottage which can offer a superb holiday at any time of year.
