Ashbourne 7 miles. A traditional detached farmhouse situated near Ilam in Ashbourne. Resting close to a working farm above the Manifold Valley in a small remote hamlet called Castern, this accommodation promises a wonderful stay for families all year round. Walking inside, you will be greeted by a porch where you can store your shoes and coats after a day exploring the area. This leads to a charming hallway, with rose coloured carpets and a delightful stairway. The dining room is to the right with an electric fire. All of the family can gather round and relax in the evening hours. Neighbouring there is a kitchen which is neutrally designed and comes complete with a table and chairs, so you can enjoy breakfast before heading out for the day. Continue through the hallway to find the cloakroom with a toilet and handbasin. A lovely sitting room is close by; a cosy space to relax in front of the open fire after a day exploring the area. With a music system and a collection of DVD's you can sit back and feel right at home. Take the stairs, and you will find two double bedrooms, one of which has an adjoined en-suite. There are also two twin bedrooms which are neatly styled and in three of the bedrooms you will find beautiful views of the countryside. A family bathroom also awaits and is beautifully finished. Outside, you can relax on the patio area and admire the views, or enjoy a barbecue with friends on a pleasant evening. Explore the town of Ashbourne - an English market town with narrow cobbled alleys, interesting buildings, coaching inns and almshouse. Just under 2 miles away you will find the village of Ilam which has many footpaths for you to explore, or go to the famous Ilam National Trust Park which is close -by. The Dove and Manifold Valleys are in distance, while Alton Towers is just 20 minutes away. You will not want to miss this holiday adventure, with so much to do and see.
